Abel Tasman Events

The Nelson and Tasman District is famous for its arts vibe, beach scene and sunshine. There’s a busy event calendar to enjoy, with an emphasis on wine, food, arts and crafts, and summer holiday fun.

Four times a year, we’ll feature one seasonal event in the region that we know will attract a crowd.

Nelson Jazz Festival, various venues and times

Tuesday 4th January 2017 to Friday 6th January 2017

Bask in the warm glow of sunshine, wine, beaches and jazz at the Nelson Jazz Festival this summer. Ths year’s festival features some of New Zealand’s best musicians mixing up a variety of jazz styles in concerts and gigs around Nelson over four days. There are free and ticketed events, indoor and outdoor gigs, daylight and evening performances as well as jam sessions. Kids under 16 attend free. You’re sure to find something to love.
